Time to go.

So after months of preparation it is finally time to depart the UK for Bird Island. I’ve packed and repacked and hopefully I haven’t forgotten anything that will be imperative over the next 16 months, as there are no shops for me to pick up anything!

Over the last few weeks I have been very busy moving house, temporarily re-homing our two cats, finishing everything up at work, and saying goodbye to friends and family. In the last couple of weeks I’ve been to Blackpool, Halifax, York, Clitheroe, London, Dorking, and Cambridge. Although it’s been busy it has been really great to see friends and family before I leave. I’m going to miss a lot of people. I’ve also been taking advantage of all the food that I probably won’t be able to get out there including Nando’s, Thai, Indian, and I’ve also been to the cinema a couple of times to get my final big screen action for a while!

All there is to do now is say goodbye and see you all in 16 months!
